3d NIPU-EJD Winter School and Final Conference

The closing event of the European Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) NIPU project, was entitled “Developing and commercialising innovative chemistries and materials in the frame of sustainability,” and held at the University of Mons, Le CLICK, from 18 to 21 February, 2025. This event, structured around four thematics, provided opportunity to explore the role of innovative chemical and materials technologies in the transition to a circular and sustainable economy. It was preceded by a separate discussion over the latest scientific and industrial advancements in the field of non-isocyanate polyurethanes (NIPU).

2d NIPU-EJD Workshop

UBx hosted the 2d NIPU-EJD Workshop on 8 and 9 July 2024 in Bordeaux (France). The event was entitled “Building careers in the realm of emerging artificial intelligence applied to PU/NIPU-related materials”The workshop program focused on mutual sharing of ESRs research and on the various tools available in artificial intelligence and their applications to the field of material, chemicals and toxicology.

NIPU-EJD Intermediate Conference

Our industrial partner, Henkel, hosted the NIPU-EJD intermediate conference, on 4 and 5 December 2023 in Düsseldorf (Germany), entitled “Isocyanate-free polyurethanes at the forefront innovation in materials science”.
Besides the day dedicated to the consortium meeting, this conference enclosed speeches on recyclability, renewability and industrialisation of polymeric and composite materials.

2d NIPU-EJD Winter School

ULiège hosted the 2d NIPU-EJD Winter School, on 31 January to 2 February 2023, in Liège (Belgium). The school was entitled “Emerging applications towards NIPU”. The programme of the school comprised NIPU dedicated academics talks,
industrial talks and transversal training on soft skills.

1st NIPU-EJD Workshop

UMONS hosted the 1st NIPU-EJD Workshop, held on 20-22 June 2023 in Mons (Belgium). The event was entitled “Managing a scientific project and leading a team”. The programme of the school comprised NIPU dedicated technical sessions, transversal training on soft skills and social activities. Whereas ESRs presented their updated scientific results during the consortium meeting, one full day was dedicated to methods and tools of project management where the participant gained the following skills: the project and resource management, management and monitoring tools, running a meeting, leading a team and managing relationships within a team.

1st NIPU-EJD Summer School

Our first enriching learning experience was hosted by UPV-EHU and held on 9-13 May 2022 in Donostia-San Sebastián (Spain). This event was organized within the GEP-SLAP 2022 conference and was dedicated to “Designing sustainable NIPU precursors, novel conceptual routes to NIPU and sustainable processes towards NIPU”. The programme of the school comprised NIPU dedicated technical sessions, transversal training on soft skills and social activities.
